Certified Gym Instructor Course Successfully Conducted in Penang and Sabah
The Certified Gym Instructor (CGI) Course, organised by the National Association for Strength & Conditioning Research (NASC), was successfully conducted on 25–26 July 2026 at two locations simultaneously: Hola Wellness, Bayan Lepas, Penang, and Agaras Fitness, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Over the two-day programme, participants gained essential knowledge and practical skills required to become competent and professional gym instructors. The course covered key topics including exercise science fundamentals, basic anatomy and physiology, gym equipment operation, exercise safety, fitness assessment, effective client communication, and professional ethics within the fitness industry.
In addition to classroom learning, participants took part in practical sessions designed to develop coaching confidence, improve exercise instruction, and reinforce safe and effective training techniques.
NASC extends its sincere appreciation to Hola Wellness and Agaras Fitness for hosting the programme, as well as to all participants for their enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation throughout the course.
