This Refunds & Dispute Policy applies to courses, certification programmes, workshops, assessments and other programmes offered by the National Association for Strength & Conditioning Research (NASC).

ROS Registration No.: PPM-013-10-01102014

Certain administrative and payment processing functions are managed on behalf of NASC by ZK Strength Sifoo Academy (SSM Registration No. 002946941-T) as an authorised administrator.

1. Participant-Initiated Cancellation — Non-Refundable

Once registration has been confirmed, course fees are generally NON-REFUNDABLE where cancellation, withdrawal or non-attendance is initiated by the participant.

Refunds will not normally be provided because of:

  • change of mind;
  • personal or family circumstances;
  • work commitments;
  • scheduling conflicts;
  • travel or transportation issues;
  • inability to obtain leave;
  • inability to attend;
  • failure to attend (“no-show”);
  • voluntary withdrawal; or
  • other circumstances attributable to the participant.

This policy is subject to any statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.

2. Course Postponement or Rescheduling

NASC reserves the right to postpone or reschedule a course where reasonably necessary due to operational requirements, trainer availability, venue issues, insufficient enrolment, safety concerns, emergencies, circumstances beyond reasonable control or other reasonable circumstances affecting delivery.

The same registered course may be postponed or rescheduled up to two (2) times.

For the first and second postponement, the participant’s registration and course fees paid will automatically be transferred to the replacement date.

A postponement within these two permitted occasions does not, by itself, constitute cancellation and does not automatically qualify the participant for a refund.

3. Third Postponement

If the same registered course is postponed for a third time, the affected participant may choose either to:

Option A — Continue Registration

Maintain the registration and attend the newly scheduled course.

Option B — Request a Refund

Request a refund of the applicable course fee paid.

4. Cancellation by NASC

If NASC cancels a registered course and does not provide a reasonable replacement or rescheduled course, affected participants will be eligible for a refund of the applicable course fee paid.

Where NASC or its authorised administrator is unable to provide the registered service due to circumstances attributable to NASC or its authorised administrator, an appropriate remedy, including a refund where applicable, will be provided in accordance with applicable Malaysian law.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed through NASC or its authorised payment administrator, as applicable.

Where the original payment was made through a third-party payment gateway, e-wallet, financing service or Buy Now Pay Later provider, the refund may also be subject to that provider’s procedures and processing times.

6. Refund Requests

Where a participant is eligible for a refund under this policy, the participant should contact:

Email: nascmalaysia@gmail.com
Tel/WhatsApp: +6017 399 9125

The participant may be required to provide:

  • full name;
  • registered course;
  • course date;
  • registration or transaction reference;
  • proof of payment; and
  • information reasonably necessary to verify the request.

7. Payment and Registration Disputes

Participants who believe there has been an error involving payment, registration, cancellation, postponement, refund or another course transaction should contact NASC so that the matter can first be investigated.

NASC will review relevant registration, payment and communication records and seek to resolve legitimate disputes fairly and in accordance with this policy and applicable Malaysian law.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Participants are encouraged to contact NASC regarding a disputed transaction before initiating a chargeback so that the matter can first be investigated and, where possible, resolved.

Where a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated, NASC and/or its authorised payment administrator may provide relevant information to the payment provider, including transaction records, registration records, acceptance of applicable terms, attendance records and relevant communications where reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory right or remedy available to the participant.

9. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refunds & Dispute Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other applicable Malaysian law.

Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of Malaysian law, the applicable legal requirement will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.
